Tracklib, the world’s first and only digital service for clearing samples, has named UnitedMasters a preferred distributor, through a collaboration supporting automated digital revenue payments directly to artists. Tracklib-sampled tracks distributed through UnitedMasters will now automatically report to Tracklib and pay-out to the correct parties, greatly simplifying the reporting of streaming revenues for the artist and producer. Tracklib will also join UnitedMasters’ Producer Exclusives.
Tracklib is the only sampling platform to support automated royalty payments with vetted digital distributors. “Both UnitedMasters and Tracklib are working to simplify and enhance the reality of music creators. We are excited to now offer UnitedMasters as a preferred distributor to refine and further automate the process of clearing samples for commercial release,” said CCO & Co-founder Pӓr Almqvist. “UnitedMasters is a culture forward company which resonates well with us, and we look forward to continuing working together in supporting music creators.”
"We want to be there for the artists at the earliest point of their creation process. We are excited to partner with Tracklib to provide the tools that will become the building blocks for the next big hit", said UnitedMasters Chief Strategy Officer Sally Shin.
Users can simply add royalty@tracklib.com as a team member in the split pay section of their tracks on the UnitedMasters dashboard with the percentage share according to their sample license from Tracklib, and all digital revenues start being accounted for directly. Then the artist or producer’s work is done. Once the song is distributed through UnitedMasters, users receive an International Standard Recording Code (ISRC) to confirm the song is released.
